This new adaptation will star the talented French singer-songwriter, Amir Haddad, in the lead role. The shooting for the series will kick-off in Paris this week, bringing a touch of French sophistication to this heartwarming story.
The Baker and the Beauty revolves around the lives of two contrasting individuals, Benjamin Mercier and Louise Meyer. Haddad’s character, Benjamin, is a hardworking baker who starts his day before the crack of dawn, kneading dough and baking baguettes at his family-run bakery. On the other hand, Louise, played by Ludmilla von Claer, is a glamorous model who jets off around the world to walk the runways for top designers and revel in the glitz of high-end parties.
The paths of Benjamin and Louise cross unexpectedly one day in a restaurant men’s room, leading to a series of events that turn Benjamin’s life upside down. The ensuing encounters between the two characters promise to be filled with humor, charm, and perhaps a hint of romance.
The French adaptation of The Baker and the Beauty is in good hands, with Hervé Mimran taking the directorial reins.
