Steve McQueen’s Blitz to Close 62nd New York Film Festival

Steve McQueen’s latest film, Blitz, is set to be the closing night selection of the prestigious 62nd New York Film Festival. The movie, starring Saoirse Ronan and Elliott Heffernan, will be making its North American premiere at the festival.

Blitz tells the story of London during its blitzkrieg by the Germans in World War II. It follows the parallel perspectives of working-class single mother Rita, portrayed by Ronan, and her 9-year-old son, George, played by newcomer Heffernan.
