George Galloway Reveals Disturbing Stalking Incident from the Past

Scottish politician and TV personality, George Galloway, recently opened up about a disturbing stalking incident he faced in the late 1980s. He described being relentlessly and physically stalked by Fiona Harvey, who called him hundreds of times and showed up at inappropriate places, including his office and inner circle gatherings. This behavior started when he was first elected as MP for Glasgow Hillhead.

During a Piers Morgan Uncensored interview, Galloway admitted to feeling afraid at times that Harvey’s obsession might take a dangerous turn. Despite never being directly threatened by her, he mentioned the constant fear that comes with someone’s obsessive behavior. Galloway expressed relief that Harvey never harmed him physically or made any threats.

Reflecting on the stalking incident, George Galloway emphasized the personal nature of stalking in the pre-digital era. With limited means of communication like landline phones and physical visits, he described Harvey’s actions as real stalking that invaded his life. He recalled the last time he saw her was in the early 1990s until her appearance on a show later on.

Fiona Harvey, who has been linked to the character in Baby Reindeer, is currently suing Netflix for $170 million over defamation and negligence related to her portrayal. Despite her claims, Netflix has vowed to vigorously defend the case. Harvey has also made appearances on Piers Morgan’s show to present her side of the story, creating a controversial legal battle over the alleged defamation.

George Galloway’s revelation of being stalked by Fiona Harvey sheds light on the disturbing impact of obsessive behavior on individuals’ lives. The fear, invasion of privacy, and long-term effects of stalking have lasting consequences on victims. The legal battle between Harvey and Netflix further complicates the situation, raising questions about accountability in media portrayals and real-life consequences.
