Disneyland is set to welcome a new attraction inspired by the Avatar franchise. This announcement was made during D23’s Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase by Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro. While Disney World’s Animal Kingdom already has its own Pandora – The World of Avatar, the new attraction in Disneyland will focus on the upcoming Avatar installment, “The Way of Water,” and future movies in the franchise. Imagineer Ali Rubin unveiled concept art for the upcoming attraction, promising an adventure that will take guests on a journey to discover the majestic natural wonders and the beauty, as well as the dangers, of Pandora.
An Unforgettable Experience Awaits
According to Rubin, this new excursion at Disneyland will bring all the action, excitement, and wonder of Avatar to life. Guests will be transported to the wide-open seas of Pandora, experiencing thrills like never before. The unveiling of this new attraction comes on the heels of James Cameron revealing that the title of the third Avatar movie will be “Avatar: Fire and Ash.” This announcement was made during Friday’s D23 presentation, where Cameron, alongside stars Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, shared details about the upcoming movie, set to premiere on December 19, 2025.
Expanding the Avatar Universe
Cameron also gave fans a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming sequel, showcasing concept art of the fire Na’Vi people and promising new cultures and settings. He assured the audience that they will see more of Pandora than ever before, with the new film surpassing expectations while delivering exactly what fans desire.
