Albert Trummer, the owner of the popular celebrity hotspot DOM, is currently embroiled in a legal battle with his investor, Arndt Oesterle. The dispute stems from allegations made by Oesterle in a lawsuit filed last month. Oesterle accused Trummer of overseeing a “live sex show” and allowing open drug use at the venue. Trummer, on the other hand, believes that these accusations are part of a scheme to take over his club. He claims that Oesterle threatened him last year when he refused to sign an unfavorable agreement that would have made him the sole proprietor of the Gramercy Park spot.
Trummer vehemently denies the allegations made against him by Oesterle. He asserts that there is no concrete evidence to support the claims of drug use and live sex shows at DOM. Trummer also refutes Oesterle’s ownership claims, stating that Oesterle only invested in specific assets such as a sound system and furniture, which he later reclaimed. Trummer is prepared to take legal action to defend his reputation and ownership of the club.
The lawsuit filed by Oesterle alleges that he provided significant financial contributions to the company, totaling approximately $1.8 million. However, Trummer maintains that Oesterle is not a co-owner and stresses that the investments were made in specific assets, not in the club itself. Trummer has vowed to challenge the lawsuit and prove his innocence.
In response to the allegations made against him, Trummer expressed disappointment and frustration. He described the lawsuit as malicious and disrespected, especially coming from someone he had known for 20 years. Trummer remains defiant in the face of the accusations, stating that Oesterle cannot prove any wrongdoing on his part. He warns against casting stones in a glass house and is determined to defend his reputation and the integrity of DOM.
Despite the legal battle and negative publicity surrounding the lawsuit, DOM continues to operate as usual. Trummer, known for his expertise in the nightlife industry, has previously been associated with successful ventures such as Chinatown club Apotheke. Despite the challenges he faces, Trummer remains committed to upholding the reputation of his establishments and ensuring that they continue to thrive in the competitive nightlife scene.
